Here’s 10 reccommendations from my last holiday in Cairns, I trust they can assist you if you’re planning to travel there.
Great Adventures day trip to the Great Barrier Reef. As the largest cruise operator in Cairns Great Adventures offers the only true Reef & Island cruise from Cairns. You are able to spend the first part of the day at the ever popular Green Island then the remainder of the day at Great Adventures outer reef pontoon.
Skyrail Cable Car to Kuranda, with stunning views of the rainforest and an breathtaking view of the Barron Falls, the Skyrail is your best option to get to Kuranda. Why not go up on the Skyrail and down on the Kuranda Scenic Railway
Dinner Cruise with Ocean Spirit, as the only dinner cruise in the area, this is always popular. Buffet style servery including fish and prawns means there’s an option for all. Make sure you reserve a place to avoid dissappointment.
Green Island with Big Cat. A locally run charter, not too big to remember that you matter. Big Cat offer full and half day transfers to Green Island with as much or as little as you want. Very popular with locals.
Flames of the Forest, Taste some indigenous ingredients in a 5 star menu, set in a romantic world heritage rainforest location.
Skydive over the reef, Whle you can do a skydive anywhere in Australia, not many places offer a beach landing and those awe inspiring views of the great barrier reef. It’s fortunate you’re strapped to someone or you may forget to deploy the chute.
Bungee Jump with AJ Hackett. Australia’s first purpose constructed bungy tower set in a beautiful rainforest setting.
Scuba Dive with Silverswift. This brand new purpose built vessel is the perfect dive platform to explore the Great Barrier Reef. With a brand new fitout and impressive customer to staff numbers you will take home great memories.
Go to Josephine Falls with a picnic lunch and a few cold beers. Some organised trips will go there but why not rent a car and do it yourself.
Taste some local Barramundi, there’s not too many destinations in the world you can, and none better than in Cairns.
